Volumetric Time and Dynamical Perturbations; Advanced Aerokinetic Instructions

Beginning with the definition of the C major [C∆) scale, as seen within Tonal-harmonic geometry, consists of the notes C, D, E, F, G, A, and B. In the context of the time-independent Schrödinger equation in quantum mechanics, these notes don't have a direct correspondence. However, they coalesce by adjustment of mathematical concepts where the notes now represent discrete values or states similar to the quantized energy levels of a system described by the Schrödinger equation. Schrödinger describes how the wave function evolves in time for a given potential energy landscape, determining the allowed energy states for a quantum system. While there isn't a direct mapping between musical notes and the equation's variables, both domains involve the concept of discrete values or levels in their respective contexts and become interchangeable.  This ultimately led down a rabbit hole that became the central pillar of this entry. The development of techniques for "dividing volum...

Collection of Poems

Image
This is a collection of poems created in early 2020, during the early onset of the Covid-19 Pandemic. Simultaneously, this was created during the writing of a This City Called Earth album entitled, "IV". Originally the idea was that there would be a 'zine, featuring these poems, a set of pages taken from my music theory book that I had been working on, specifically the Neapolitan Major series, and a collection of illustrations/images. Upon the 2/3 mark, I had decided to try and outsource the illustration/photo side of things but it didn't pan out, likely a mismanagement of time or resources on my end, again. Oops. Anyways, these are a lot more personal on an emotional level for me and it's always been hard and slow to get this side of me out without inebriation, time to process and the correct environment to speak - or feel. I don't know. Some of these are more hopeful, whereas others are in-fact incredibly dark stemming from some childhood traumas that I'...

This is a series I began around April 2020, formulated during the early onset of the Covid-19 pandemic. It was originally intended to be a 3 part "'Zine",  comprised of a particular musical scale and it's related modes, a set of poems and a set of illustrations/images[this part was never created, ultimately due to my own mismanagement - oops]. During the time of creation I was simultaneously in the early stages of writing a draft for a Music Theory book. The intention of which was to create some kind of ' Encyclopedia of Musical Scales '. The Neapolitan Major Scale is so fascinating because it was the first major scale that I learned about which was pretty different from the western standard Major Scale , otherwise known as the Ionian-Major Scale . Sonically, this was so unique to my untrained ear(s) and so it was very exciting to work with and study. Incorporated in all of these modes of Neapolitan Major are pieces of information related to notable points...

The Point of This Blog

So I want to talk about what the point of this blog actually is. I've wanted create a space to speak more freely from the clutches of social media, especially with regards to the stuff that can be a lot more difficult to express. Namely music theory, esoteric studies, and the more intrinsic poems and commentary that I tend to hold close and private. I find it can be particularly challenging because as I create content I can often backtrack in second-guessing whether I understand the materials I'm working with and whether or not it's presentable enough for digestion and especially the premise that I strive to provide correct information whenever possible. Perfectionism is a large part of what drives some of my efforts. Not for it's own sake but in a quest for dimensional accuracy, mainly. I couple analysis and intuition and let the emotionality of a given subject serve as feedback/byproduct to inform further decision-making, ideas, and introspection. In time, as the col...
