Collection of Poems

This is a collection of poems created in early 2020, during the early onset of the Covid-19 Pandemic.
Simultaneously, this was created during the writing of a This City Called Earth album entitled, "IV".

Originally the idea was that there would be a 'zine, featuring these poems, a set of pages taken from my music theory book that I had been working on, specifically the Neapolitan Major series, and a collection of illustrations/images.

Upon the 2/3 mark, I had decided to try and outsource the illustration/photo side of things but it didn't pan out, likely a mismanagement of time or resources on my end, again. Oops.

Anyways, these are a lot more personal on an emotional level for me and it's always been hard and slow to get this side of me out without inebriation, time to process and the correct environment to speak - or feel. I don't know.

Some of these are more hopeful, whereas others are in-fact incredibly dark stemming from some childhood traumas that I'd never otherwise talk about.

It's difficult to make space for emotions when logic is what facilitates much of what I do.
I do not deny feeling, but it is often suppressed in order to stay on task, usually until it's too great to ignore any longer; certainly not the best moments, but the relief of inner tension does help the mind keep track of and discern what is happening inside the intuitive body.
